As one of the main sponsors, we donated and installed a 27 by 7 metre building wrap, for a competition run by the annual COAST Festival of the Visual Arts. The former glazier's premises in Banff, which has lain empty for years, and considered an eyesore by many locals, was the chosen site, being visable from Macduff. Artist Gabrielle Reith, who won the competition, said her pen and ink design aimed to represent one of the area’s wildlife treasures. Scotland’s only mainland gannet colony at the RSPB’s Troup Head nature reserve, near Banff, has more than 1,500 gannet nests. AD Walker Ltd donated and erected the scaffolding. |
